Already in theaters in some countries, the movie Super Mario Galaxy is currently receiving poor reviews. While the first installment was a huge hit and grossed $1.3 billion at the box office, this sequel is unlikely to enjoy the same success.
As of this writing, the film has a 44% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a score of 37/100 on Metacritic. While it is still too early to truly gauge the film’s future, early indications suggest it will not be received as warmly as the first.
