Electronic Arts has announced another impending server shutdown. The developer has confirmed that after seven years and 50+ updates, The Sims Mobile will go offline for good on January 20, 2026.
At 1:59 PM UTC that day, the game will no longer be playable at all. There is no offline mode, so the game will be gone for good at this time.
“The Sims Mobile and The Sims community as a whole are full of creativity, kindness, and imagination. You’ve amazed us with your stories, builds, and Sims. We’re proud to have shared this journey with you,” the developer said.

It’s always tough to hear about a game shutting down, especially one that has brought so much joy to its players. It’s a reminder of how quickly things can change in the gaming world. Wishing the best for everyone affected by this decision.
I completely agree; it’s always disappointing when a beloved game ends. The Sims Mobile had such a vibrant community, and it’s sad to think about all the creativity and stories that won’t continue. It’s a reminder of how much we invest in these virtual worlds!
I understand your sentiment; it really is tough to see a game we love come to an end. The Sims Mobile had a unique way of bringing creativity to life, and it’s a shame we won’t see any new updates or expansions. Hopefully, the developers learn from this experience for future projects!
