The RuneScape subscription price skyrockets to €13.49 per month

The fantasy MMORPG RuneScape currently has over 200 million accounts since its beta launch in January 2001. Players can download it for free and access various bonuses by paying a subscription fee.

In March 2026, Jagex announced a complete overhaul of its offering. There are no longer any differences between “standard” and “premium” members, as everyone now has access to the same features. Subs can enjoy 100 bank spaces, as well as 11 skills, the complete map, over 200 additional quests, bonus equipment, and dedicated servers.

Unfortunately, these changes come with a price increase that is effective immediately. The subscription price has risen to €13.49 per month instead of €12.49 since 2024. Since 2018, the monthly rate has risen by €4. The annual subscription is now €119.88 (or €9.99/month) instead of €89.88 (or €7.49/month) in September 2024.
