The first reviews of Battlefield 6 ahead of its release on PS5, Xbox Series and PC this October 10 are finally here. So far, Electronic Arts’ latest FPS has got quite the positive reception.
The Metacritic average is 83% on PS5 (38 reviews), 83% on PC (26 reviews), and 87% on Xbox Series (5 reviews). On OpenCritic, the score is 84% based on a provisional total of 45 reviews. Of course, this will change over time as more reviews trickle in.
Reviewers praise the highly polished visuals of Battlefield 6, its high-quality audio design, satisfying gameplay, impressive launch content, and successful return to its roots.
As for flaws, we can mention the lackluster AI in the single-player campaign, which is also quite disappointing overall. Add to that some balancing issues and that some of the destruction of the scenery ends up feeling a little anecdotal.
