We may be on the verge of a significant price increase for the PS5 in Europe. As we already know, shortages of memory and storage components are putting pressure on many industries, and the video game’s one is no exception.
On X, user GyoJvfr stated that Sony is preparing to significantly raise the prices of several of its devices, starting with the PS5 Slim, which would go up to €649.99 instead of the current €549.99 (without the disc drive).
Meanwhile, the PS5 Pro could be sold for €899.99, up from €799.99 currently. Finally, the PlayStation Portal, which is priced at €219.99, would rise to €249.99.
These rumors should be taken with a grain of salt for now. GyoJvfr reports that Sony will make an announcement “soon”.
