The Xbox debacle is not limited to consumers. The last few months have been tough for Microsoft, with price increases for Game Pass and the brand’s consoles.
Now, The Verge reports a surge in the price of Xbox development kits. They are rising from $1,500 to $2,000 per unit, an increase of 33%. The American manufacturer has confirmed the information through one of its spokespersons.
“This adjustment reflects macroeconomic changes. We remain committed to providing high-quality tools and support for your development efforts.”
It remains to be seen whether this change will also have consequences for gamers.
