The Outer Worlds 2 reviews are relatively positive

Available from October 24, 2025 for Premium Edition buyers and October 29 for everyone else, The Outer Worlds 2 has got its first reviews. Obsidian’s RPG will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is, of course, included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

On Metacritic, the average score is currently 85% on Xbox Series X (33 reviews), 81% on PC (24 reviews), and 85% on PS5 (17 reviews). On OpenCritic, the score is currently 80% based on 54 reviews.

The Outer Worlds 2 shines with its flawless writing, environmental storytelling, successful art direction, and relatively clever AI. Add to that a pleasant universe and exhilarating freedom of choice during dialogues.

On the downside, there is a fairly limited bestiary, somewhat clunky gameplay, a rather static world with little interaction, and bugs in some side quests. Finally, it’s important to note that the voices are once again only in English.
