Since its debut on Nintendo Switch back in July 2018, the Octopath Traveler franchise has managed to carve out a place for itself in the JRPG genre. It got a sequel in 2023 and a prequel called Octopath Traveler 0 last December.
In any case, Square Enix has proudly announced this week that the series has now sold over seven million units worldwide. Of course, this figure includes all episodes and their various versions.
