When it released on Nintendo consoles on December 18, the remake of System Shock suffered from several technical issues. In particular, it had a messy frame rate, which is rather damning for an FPS.
Fortunately, Nightdive Studios is going to fix this. Technical producer Justin Khan has indicated that the next patch will allow the game to run at 60 frames per second on Switch 2. He added that this problem arose due to the use of an external graphics engine.
“We’re confident that we can hit that very smooth 60 frames-per-second with the frame[rate] locked on Switch 2 basically all of the time.”
That being said, the release date for the update has yet to be announced.
