Square Enix is offering Final Fantasy VII fans the chance to rediscover the original game with a new version available on Steam and GOG for €12.99.
New features include a 3x speed mode, the option to disable random encounters, a simplified battle mode (auto HP and MP recovery), and automatic saving.
All owners of the previous version of the RPG (renamed Final Fantasy VII – 2013 Edition) will get the new version for free. Both will still appear in the game library. That being said, saves from the 2013 Edition are not compatible.
