Back in 2009, Rockstar Games announced a PS3 exclusive titled Agent. Of course, this action-stealth game set in the late 1970s never came out, and its content remains a complete mystery to this day.
However, a user recently combed through the source code of GTA V and discovered important information regarding Agent. User XanaBax found what appears to be a preliminary version of the PS3 game’s hero: a man in fatigues who does not appear in Grand Theft Auto V.
A thorough analysis revealed that this same model appears in the portfolio of a former environment artist who worked on the title in 2011. The file name is NorthRig, which is believed to be a reference to Rockstar North. It is stored in a folder named Jimmy, which is the codename for Agent.
Rockstar has not provided any official reason for the game’s cancellation. The company dropped the Agent brand in 2018, and the website was taken down in 2021.
