The Master Chief VA asks White House to remove video using his voice

Since the start of the war waged by the United States and Israel against Iran, the White House has shared numerous videos of the operations on social media. One of these clips even reused the interface from Call of Duty.

Now, the voice of Master Chief, voiced by Steve Downes, has been used in one of these clips to rally American opinion behind Donald Trump’s military actions. This initiative was not appreciated by the actor who plays the hero of the Halo saga.

In a message posted on X, Steve Downes asked the White House to remove his voice, used without his permission, from the video in question.

“It has come to my attention that there is at least one propaganda video circulating that was either produced or at the very least endorsed by the White House that uses images of Master Chief and uses my voice to support the war in Iran.

Let me make this crystal clear: I did not participate in nor was I consulted, nor do I endorse the use of my voice in this video, or the message it conveys. I demand that the producers of this disgusting and juvenile war porn remove my voice immediately.”

For its part, Microsoft, which owns the rights to the Halo franchise, has not yet made any complaint.
