All three Lord of the Rings movies are now available on 4K Blu-ray with eye-catching steelbook cases. The Return of the King’s Limited Edition Steelbook launched this week (October 14) and promptly sold out at Amazon–but you can still snag a copy at Walmart. The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers received standalone 4K Steelbook Editions earlier this year. If you don’t own any of them yet, it’s a good time to start collecting, as The Fellowship of the Ring’s Steelbook Edition is on sale for a new all-time low price of $26 (was $35) at Amazon and Walmart. The Two Towers Steelbook Edition is discounted to $30 (was $35) at both retailers.
With current prices at Walmart, fans of Peter Jackson’s superb adaptation can own matching collectible editions of the full trilogy for only $86. If you’re waiting for Amazon to restock The Return of the King, it’s worth noting the retailer says it is merely “temporarily out of stock” of the new release.

Securing these beautiful Steelbook Editions of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy for these prices is quite the bargain. Especially when you consider these editions were previously only available in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy Steelbook Collection with a $170 MSRP. The box set, which is currently selling for $180, also comes with a metal display box, so you’re missing out on that by purchasing the movies individually. The slipcase probably isn’t worth paying double for most fans, though. Unlike the box set, the standalone editions include digital versions of the movies for your Movies Anywhere library.
