Epic Games has released its key figures for the past year for its online store. With over 6,000 games now listed, the Epic Games Store has posted very positive results for 2025.
Firstly, player spending on third-party games increased by 57% to $400 million. This total does not include microtransactions from titles such as Marvel Rivals, Valorant, and GTA V, as developers retain all revenue from these. In addition, players spent 2.78 billion hours playing these third-party titles.
In 2025, the Epic Games Store attracted more than 78 million active users each month on PC. They accumulated 6.65 billion hours of gameplay over the course of a year and spent $1.16 billion (up 4% from 2024).
For its part, the free games program resulted in 662 million titles being downloaded. This had a positive effect on Steam downloads, which increased by 40% when the same game was free on the Epic Games Store.
Finally, the American company wants to revamp its store in 2026. The platform will be thoroughly improved and new features will be added. Optimizations will be rolled out this summer with the aim of making the store “more responsive and enjoyable to use, with faster loading times and increased stability.”
