The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion released 20 years ago!

Originally slated for release alongside the Xbox 360 in November 2005, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was ultimately released on March 20, 2006, for Microsoft’s console and PC. PS3 players had to wait another year before they could play it.

Bethesda Game Studios has shared a short video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its legendary open-world action-RPG. Last year, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered arrived on current-generation consoles. It will also be released later in 2026 on Switch 2.
