Two JRPG classics are coming to modern platforms better than ever this week. The Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake collection will be released on consoles and PC on October 30, 2025.
Japanese magazine Famtisu has already given it quite the very positive review, with a score of 34 out of 40. The four reviewers gave it scores of 9/9/8/8 respectively, mentioning some very nice surprises and a perfect balance of nostalgia and new content.
Even more interestingly, we’ve learned that Dragon Quest I offers about 10 to 15 hours of gameplay, while Dragon Quest II estimated playtime is between 34 and 40 hours.
