Last weekend, ARC Raiders got a playtest both on consoles and PC. This trial version was a huge success, with almost 190,000 simultaneous players on Steam.
While waiting for the full game’s release on October 30, some may be wondering what Embark Studios has planned in terms of post-launch content. In a recent interview, Virgil Watkins, the lead designer on ARC Raiders, mentioned a schedule that could span a decade.
“I think internally, for a long time, we’ve talked about this game [ARC Raiders] as a 10-year game. That’s the ambition we’re aiming for, and it dictates the type and amount of content we want to put in it.”
Without giving a specific roadmap, Watkins indicated that new weapons and enemies will be introduced over the coming months.
