This Thursday, March 26, Super Mario Bros. Wonder gets its Switch 2 edition, with the Meetup in Bellabel Park content included as a bonus. The game is priced at €79.99, and the upgrade for owners of the Switch version is €19.99.
The YouTube channel Digital Foundry has released its verdict on the technical and graphical improvements included in this version. Super Mario Bros. Wonder runs in native 4K without anti-aliasing in TV mode. In handheld mode, the game displays natively at 1080p. HDR is not directly supported.
Unfortunately, there is a minor disappointment. While the frame rate remains consistently at 60 frames per second, there is no 120 FPS mode available. The visuals are nonetheless stunning. It is currently one of the most beautiful games on the Switch 2.
The “Bellabel Park” additional content is almost exclusively geared toward local or online multiplayer (aside from seven single-player levels). The mini-games, while varied, do not all seem particularly interesting. Note that Rosalina is now available as a playable character, and local co-op with Luma has been added. GameShare and mouse controls are also now supported.
