Steam revamps its homepage (Beta)

There have been some changes to the Steam store homepage this week. Currently available in beta, Valve is rolling out a brand-new version of the page, redesigned and modernized.

One of the main goals is to make it easier to discover new games, thanks to a different, more effective layout, and especially thanks to infinite scrolling. You can now lose yourself in the store, endlessly. The images also have higher resolutions, the page is generally wider, and it’s more responsive.

That’s not all. Another feature is also interesting: the one that lets you manage downloads from remote Steam clients. In other words, you can now manage your downloads on other devices, like the Steam Deck, from other computers.

In fact, for those who regularly use this portable Steam device (or Big Picture mode), this update brings new visual elements detailed in this patch note.

The community has responded positively to this update. If you’d like to try it out too, simply enable the beta version of your Steam launcher.
