Steam New Free RPG Is A ‘Peak Game’, Users Agree

A new RPG is considered to be a “peak game”, and by the looks of things, many Steam users agree.

Every once in a while, an unexpected hit comes along and takes the video game industry by storm, or at least, its respective genre. Perhaps, like the Steam RPG featured in this article that you can check out for free.

Sure, we don’t know if this game in question will take anything by storm, but at least judging by its user reviews on the PC platform Steam, it might stand a decent chance.

The RPG on Steam in question is developed and published by SUNCYAN Inc., and it’s called The Spike Cross.

“The thrill of spiking in volleyball. Why don’t you try it out? Developed by an indie developer who loves volleyball! The sports game was made after numerous trials and errors to retain the appeal of volleyball,” reads the synopsis of the game.

The Spike Cross promises high-octane 3v3 matches, immersive gameplay, a perhaps modest “appealing” storyline, tournaments and much more. Best of all, as we mentioned, this game is totally free.

At the time of writing, The Spike Cross has a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, so here’s what some of the platform users had to say:

Peak game,” declared Sunless. “Even if it lags sometimes, I already played this on mobile and it’s addictive. The only problem I had was an issue with Google Play, but everything else is good.”

“Yeah, this is peak,” agreed an optimistic Unemportant. “Might be one of the best sports games ever. I saw my friends play this on the bus for years, and now it’s finally on Steam. I gotta admit this game is so fun, 100% peak.”

“This game has come a long way and I have really enjoyed these past years, just getting on and playing the tournaments every day, as well as the events now and then,” wrote Periolu. Team SUNCYAN has done an amazing job, and the best is yet to come!”

“I love this game. So much fun on PC. I love that not every move is overly predictable. Probably one of the most fun volleyball games I have played,” said kuku4cokopuffz.

There were some negative comments stating that the game needs to be better optimised on PC, but hopefully, those issues will be fixed sooner rather than later.

The Spike Cross is available to download now on PC and compatible mobile devices.
