Steam Free Soulslike Offering Has 100% Positive Reviews, Enjoy Now

A new free demo has just hit Steam with 100% positive reviews, and it’s one for the soulslike sickos like me.

If you’re a fan of tactical combat, loadout variety, and hunting eldritch horrors, then oh boy do I have the game for you.

Undertaker is an upcoming game that has all three, and it’s got a certain soulslike quality to it that makes it look like a rather good time.

It’s a first-person shooter where you play as a hunter in Transylvania, navigating gothic environments, uncovering ancient artifacts, and battling against horrific eldritch creatures.

Seriously, watch the trailer and tell me it doesn’t look like an absolute blast. It’s basically a mix of Bloodborne and BioShock. There’s also some very obvious Bram Stoker’s Dracula inspiration here as well.

The good news is that if you want to play the game ahead of its release date, which is currently not announced, then its developer Dobrx has released a free demo on Steam for you to try out.

The Undertaker demo reportedly has around two hours of unique content that won’t be found in the full release, giving you a curated experience which will show you everything the base game will feature.

Undertaker‘s Free Demo Currently Has 100% Positive Reviews

What’s more, the Undertaker demo currently has 100% positive reviews on Steam, indicating that everyone who’s played it has really enjoyed it.

“A game demo that is more fun than most games around, more fluid than most FPS games around, and longer than some games with a price tag,” reads one review on the Undertaker demo store page.

“This demo was incredible, it was really fun to play! 10/10 will play on full release!! Soundtrack is dope too,” reads another review.

“Good game from a talented solo developer. Doesn’t seem very different from the playtest so far, but I’m definitely excited for the full release,” reads a third review.

If you’d like to check out the Undertaker demo for yourself, you can play it by downloading it on Steam. I can’t get over that gorgeous art style, which features a nice balance between dark environments with nicely lit props and enemies.

As for the full release, Dobrx has not announced when it’ll be out. But perhaps we’ll get some news on this in 2026. I know for sure that I’ll be checking out the full game when it does eventually release.
