With a very strong Studio Ghibli influence, this upcoming action-adventure will surely captivate you, while whisking you away from the stresses of the real world in exchange for a land of lost beauty.

Edenfall: Legacy of the First Wardens is set to take players into a world corrupted by darkness, as we control Venya, a young woman able to magically transform into creatures in order to overcome obstacles.

You can find a free demo over on Steam, to give you a taste of what’s to come when the game launches, and from just the trailers alone, this looks like one you won’t want to miss.

In an expansive world that takes players from the ground, up into the skies, it’s easy to see the influence of Studio Ghibli in the colours and wonderful detail within each landscape.

Of course, from first glance, you’ll probably notice some similarities with Nintendo’s biggest adventure franchise, The Legend of Zelda.

There’s no denying the landscape here feels a lot like the Hyrule of Breath of the Wild, and that’s no backhanded compliment.

Relying on your human form for battling this world’s monsters, players will banish the darkness corrupting life, in the hopes of letting the colour seep back into view.

The interplay between creatures you control seems like a great idea, soaring through the sky as the raven, dashing with speed and grace as a wolf, and then turning into the raccoon to squeeze into smaller areas.
