Do you yearn for a new adventure?
Then you need look no further than Zitifono, an upcoming cosy release which has launched a surprise demo on PC via Steam.
Developed by Loekni, Zitifono is a charming game that sees the player go boating on the ocean.
You’ll “swim in peaceful coves”, as well as “find treasures in secret caves and talk with the funny inhabitants of the archipelago to solve the mystery of these colourful islands”.
What more could you ask for? Zitifono pretty much ticks every cosy box.
The game is stylised in a “retro low poly style” that with the boating theme, almost has a The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker feel to it.
Beyond that, it’s hard to draw a comparison really.
I’ve played a ton of cosy games, and the only similar title that springs to mind is 2023’s Tchia.
I highly urge you to go back and sample Tchia if it passed you by the first time around; it’s another tropical adventure where you’ll play as young girl Tchia whose father is taken.
Zitifono is open-world, so you’ll be able to explore at your own pace, uncovering mysteries, befriending locals, and engaging in quests as you do so.

If you tuned into Wholesome Snack 2025, you’ll have caught a fresh glimpse of the game.
Gameplay footage showed the player character mining and gathering, interacting with marine life, riding a train, and purchasing goods.
It’s all very low-stakes stuff, so I’m imagining Zitifono is a perfect escape if you want to relax and unwind.
The game’s Steam listing mentions “humorous quests” and “hidden places” which has certainly piqued my interest.
You can also “carry weird statues and activate strange mechanisms” which sounds very Uncharted or Tomb Raider-esque.
A Free Demo Has Arrived, Available Now
Loekni also confirmed that a free demo for Zitifono is now available on Steam.
Yes, unfortunately Zitifono is currently only scheduled to launch on PC via Steam, and so its demo is limited to this platform too.
Naturally, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any future ports; personally, I’m always itching for cosy titles to drop on the Nintendo Switch.
As for what you can do in the demo, well, much of what I mentioned above.
You’ll get a feel for what Zitifono has to offer, taking to the seas in your boat and exploring a select area of the archipelago.
If you enjoy what you play, I highly recommend that you wishlist that game.
That way, when a release date is eventually announced, you’ll be notified.
