Steam Adds 8 New Free Games, All Yours

It’s a brand new year, and that means new free games up for grabs on Steam.

Steam has thousands of games released on the platform each year, with many of them being released completely free.

With so many free games coming to Steam every single week, it can be tricky to decipher what to play if you’re just after a short, non-paid experience.

Since we regularly cover free games here on GAMINGbible though, I thought I’d use this space to shout about a few that have just been released since the year began. Happy new year.

Steam Has Got Eight New Free Games For You To Check Out This New Year’s

Here are some free games worth checking out that have been released since 1 January:

  • Poker Fate – ACG Texas Hold’em, an anime-style Texas Hold’em game combining easy-to-learn tutorials for beginners, high-stakes duels for top players, and a variety of thrilling tournaments
  • Youchosis, a rather nightmarish psychological horror game where you explore different dimensions in search of “the perfect afterlife”. Be warned there is some disturbing imagery in this one.
  • Space Aces, an indie space shooter that plunges you into an online universe full of action, strategy, and fierce competition.
  • Diluted, a narrative-driven 3D side-scrolling puzzle and adventure game where players explore dark environments, solve environmental challenges, and uncover a story centered around fear, control, and nightmares.
  • Humanoid, a sci-fi shoot ’em up in the style of an early 8-bit arcade game, where you need to play aggressively to clear rooms and win.
  • Monstro Maestro, an action platformer where you play as a conductor and use music as part of the combat and gameplay. Fans of Hollow Knight and Celeste may enjoy this one.
  • Little Smiles Daycare, A short psychological horror experience set inside an abandoned daycare.
  • Fall Asleep, a first-person horror platformer where you’re trapped inside a nightmare and must escape by climbing upwards.

If you’d like to play these games for free, simply head to their respective Steam store pages and hit download.

Once you’ve added them to your account, the games are yours to keep and will be accessible even if they get taken off Steam.

Of course, check to see if your PC is actually capable of running them first by examining the system requirements.

If your computer doesn’t hit the minimum requirements, you may experience performance issues such as crashing or low frame rates.
