A new Stardew Valley mod adds a brand-new feature that will help boost your in-game productivity. It might just be the mod you never knew you needed until now.
When Stardew Valley was originally released in 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before being ported to many other platforms, few could have predicted the success it would garner. Let alone, it is still going strong nearly a full decade later. It really is the indie darling flag bearer.
“You’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?” reads the synopsis of the game.
“It won’t be easy. Ever since Joja Corporation came to town, the old ways of life have all but disappeared. The community centre, once the town’s most vibrant hub of activity, now lies in shambles. But the valley seems full of opportunity. With a little dedication, you might just be the one to restore Stardew Valley to greatness!”
Stardew Valley keeps getting better
Over the years, Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe, aka Eric Barone, has improved the game, adding tons of new features and quality of life improvements following a wealth of free content updates.
However, the Stardew Valley community has also more than done its part by adding new quests, NPCs, dialogue, areas, mechanics and more. You name it, the modding community has probably done it.
One such mod is called ‘EarlyWakeUp, ’ created by Ismael1508, and it’s free to download now via Nexusmods.

“Tired of wasting those precious early morning hours? ‘Early Wake Up’ gives you the head start you need by allowing you to customise exactly when your farmer wakes up every morning,” the mod description reads.
There’s not much else to say about the mod; it does exactly what it says on the tin, and it’s perfect for those early birds who like to catch the worm. That being said, as is the case with most mods, this is a PC exclusive.
Hopefully, fantastic mods like this will help keep us busy until the next highly anticipated game from ConcernedApe arrives, namely, Haunted Chocolatier. At the time of writing, Haunted Chocolatier does not have a release date, but we’ll let you know when that information drops.
Stardew Valley is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
