The StarCraft franchise has been somewhat neglected by Blizzard Entertainment in recent years. Fortunately, this is expected to change in 2026 at BlizzCon.
According to journalist Jez Corden, the convention, which will be held on September 12 and 13, 2026, will most likely be largely devoted to StarCraft. Rumors about a third-person shooter have been circulating for several months, and such project could be shown this year.
Blizzard is also expected to focus on the World of WarCraft expansion The Last Titan and updates for Overwatch 2. Finally, Diablo 4 will welcome the Lord of Hatred DLC in April 2026.
