SSD prices are set to rise due to decline in NAND memory production

Consumers should prepare for a sharp rise in SSD prices. A report indicates that Samsung and SK Hynix are reducing their production of NAND memory, which is in high demand from brands such as NVIDIA and AMD.

Instead, Samsung and SK Hynix will focus on DRAM memory production in order to meet growing demand linked to artificial intelligence. The two companies will therefore prioritize deliveries to businesses in the sector.

As a result, SSD prices are likely to follow a similar path to RAM prices.
