While the series is quite famous, Dragon Quest X remains a relatively unknown entry in the West. Originally released in August 2012, this MMORPG has never been released outside of Japan. So far, it has seen three distinct versions and even an offline version in September 2022.
Despite the fact that Dragon Quest X is not playable in Europe and North America, Square Enix has chosen to partner with Google to offer a new feature. As a result, the Gemini AI will be integrated into the game in the form of a companion named Oshaberi Slimey. Players will be able to chat with him, and he will respond with AI-generated text.
Slimey will be able to comment on on-screen information, changes to the userβs characterβs outfit, or even notify the player when a rare item is obtained or a powerful enemy is defeated. He will even provide in-game hints, such as where to go to complete a quest.
