It’s definitely a trend right now. After Capcom did it with the remake of Resident Evil 4, now it’s Square Enix’s turn with DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake.
The well-known anti-piracy solution, known to affect PC game performance, has been removed from the RPG. For the moment, the Japanese publisher has not found a replacement. Thus, DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake should now run more smoothly.
It’s interesting to see Square Enix following in the footsteps of other developers by removing Denuvo from their games. This shift could really enhance the gaming experience for players, and it’s exciting to witness these changes in the industry. Looking forward to seeing how it impacts future releases!
