To kick off the 20th anniversary of God of War, Sony announced a remake of the first God of War trilogy with original Kratos actor TC Carson reprising his role. That doesn’t necessarily mean Kratos’ current actor, Christopher Judge, is out of the picture. According to recent remarks by Judge, Sony Santa Monica–the studio behind God of War (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok–will be revealing its next game this summer.
During Fan Expo Vancouver, Judge told YouTube streamer Fuzhpuzy that he’s not involved with the God of War trilogy remake, but he seemed to indicate that he is in Sony Santa Monica’s upcoming title.
“You’ll be hearing about what we’re doing probably in late summer,” said Judge. He also indicated that the God of War trilogy will have a new fighting system rather than a recreation of the one used by the PS2 and PS3 games of that era.
