PlayStation could completely revamp the design of its future controllers. While the DualSense already represented a real evolution from the DualShock, the Japanese company seems to be considering even more profound changes.
In a patent filed by Sony, we can see the concept of a touchscreen controller with no physical buttons. The virtual buttons can be customized and the configuration changed for accessibility purposes. This would be a way to enhance user comfort and accommodate potential disabilities.
Of course, this is only a patent at this stage. It is impossible to know whether this controller will be used for the PS6 or whether it is simply an idea that may not result in a commercial product.
