Last January, at CES 2026, Sony and Honda jointly announced the Afeela 1 car. This high-end model was set to offer several features tailored for gamers, such as themes based on PlayStation franchises and support for Remote Play.
Unfortunately, the Afeela 1 will never see the light of day, as its cancellation has been confirmed by both brands. The electric car was supposed to be released at the end of the year. Sony and Honda have decided “to halt the development and launch of the AFEELA1 model and the second model”.
The slowdown in global sales of electric cars is being cited as the reason.
