If you missed the recent open network test for Sega’s Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, good news: A single-player demo is available on September 16th at 9 PM PST. The bad news is that it’s only playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and not PS4 or Xbox One.
While Sega hasn’t detailed the demo’s exact content, it will presumably feature Grand Prix and Time Trial (both included in the test). You can play them offline, which is good news, but it’s unlikely that progress transfers over to the main game. At least it’s not available for a limited-time (for now).
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launches on September 25th for all of the above platforms. It’s also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this Holiday season. The open test offered nine courses, separate from the various CrossWorlds, and 21 vehicles for players to customize. You could also control 12 characters with Persona 5’s Joker, unlocked by partaking in the limited-time Joker Festival.
It’s exciting to see the single-player demo for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds launching soon. Looking forward to experiencing the game!
