While Super Mario Galaxy: The Movie has just hit theaters, Nintendo is already working on a new feature film. It’s based on The Legend of Zelda and is set to be released in May 2027.
Filmed in New Zealand, this adaptation directed by Wes Ball is nearing the end of its shoot, scheduled for this April. Some of the locations chosen to recreate the kingdom of Hyrule are reportedly in the Otago region and the town of Glenorchy.
This is the very same location Peter Jackson chose in the early 2000s to film scenes for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Thus, we can look forward to seeing some truly stunning scenery!
