New modified RTX 4080 SUPER cards have been spotted on the Chinese market, this time equipped with 32 GB of GDDR6X instead of the original 16 GB. These models are not official: they come from specialized workshops that adapt the cards for AI uses.

This practice is not new: the RTX 3090, 4090, and now 4080 SUPER are regularly modified for use in small, low-cost data centers.
The cards spotted retain the original GPU but double the memory via a modified PCB. They are sold for around RMB 9,200 (approximately €1,200) and appear to be mass-produced—some photos even show stacks of boxes ready for shipment.
CT AI, a company already known for this type of mods, is mentioned on the back of the cards. Naturally, these models do not come with any official warranty.
