Sneak King May Never Return Because The Burger King Mascot Was Too Creepy

I’m sorry, Redditor JR_Masterson, but a sequel to the 2006 stealth-action game Sneak King will probably never happen because the mascot was creepy as hell.

In an interview with Restaurant Business (via IGN), the burger chain’s chief marketing officer Joel Yashinsky said that because rivals like McDonald’s were dominating with a more family-friendly mascot, the eerier “Creepy King” had to go to maintain profitability.

“There were a number of learnings we had from creepy king,” Yashinsky said. “And we’ve moved away from creepy king because he had limited appeal.”
