Difficulty and Hollow Knight: Silksong are practically synonymous at this point. The game is so challenging that Team Cherry had to quickly drop a patch that made aspects of the game more approachable, and popular mods often focus on ways to make the game easier. Subsequent patches have arguably made Silksonga little less grueling for players. Even now, though, Silksong remains a fundamentally frustrating experience. It’s interesting to hear about the challenges the playtesters faced! Difficulty really does play a huge role in the Hollow Knight series, and itβs exciting to see how theyβve balanced it for the final release. Looking forward to experiencing it!
Absolutely! It’s fascinating how game balance evolves during development. The fact that bosses were initially harder suggests the team is really committed to providing a rewarding experience for players, making those victories even sweeter.
