The Silent Hill franchise has cemented itself as one of the best horror narratives of all time, especially thanks to a resurgence kickstarted by the Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Beginning its journey back in 1999 with the launch of Silent Hill, the survival horror game franchise is generally regarded as one of the best of all time, going on to inspire countless other entries, live-action adaptations, and more.
In recent years, the Silent Hill 2 Remake served as a way to bring the horror series back to the forefront by offering new players the chance to check out 2001’s Silent Hill 2 on modern platforms.
With several awards under its belt and over 2.5 million units sold by October 2025, the Silent Hill 2 Remake has paved the way for a bright future for the horror franchise with Bloober Team recently announcing its plans to release one Silent Hill entry each year.
As such, 2025 welcomed the release of Silent Hill f, a standalone spinoff title from the Silent Hill franchise which saw players travel outside of America for the first time into 1960s Japan.
Set in the fictionalised Japanese town of Ebisugoaka, we follow the story of high school student Hinako as she navigates a town slowly overcome with fog.
If you know me, you will know that Silent Hill f was my 2025 game of the year and it is a title which I have shared many of my thoughts on.

Bag Two Games for Less Than the Price Of One
So that is why I am delighted to be sharing this brand-new Steam deal with you.
Courtesy of the PC storefront, purchasing the Silent Hill 2 Remake will see you also get Silent Hill f for absolutely free in an amazing dual pack that costs £55.79. But it’s a better deal than that.
Silent Hill 2 Remake usually costs £59.99 just by itself. So by buying the dual pack, you’re saving £4.20 on Silent Hill 2 Remake alone.
Buying both separately would run you up £92.99, so there’s no denying that this is a deal you don’t want to miss out on.
Although Silent Hill f is not as big of a game as the Silent Hill 2 Remake, it is still an incredible game which will take you around 10-12 hours to play.
Not only that but with it being a standalone title, you do not need to have played any previous Silent Hill entries in order to enjoy it and it makes for the perfect entry into the franchise as a whole.
As for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, it is widely regarded as one of the best remakes of all time, managing to capture the magic of the original but making it a lot more accessible to modern gamers.
But be quick! The offer will end on 3 February.
