In order to upgrade Hinako’s stats as well as increase her Omamori slots in Silent Hill f, requires a requisite amount of both Faith and Ema. The latter can only be acquired in a handful of locations, with several more that are exclusive to New Game+ and New Game++ modes.

Ebisugaoka
- Heading east, look for a save point. Directly opposite it is a house with some containers on the ground behind a makeshift straw fence.
- Past the warehouse, head further east and onto the fenced-in area of a house to find a water trough there.
Dark Corridors
Atop a crate on the left side of the long chests in the north-west of the map.
Ebisugaoka
At the southern end, across a bridge that leads away from the saving point. Lying atop a short wall near some cylinders.
Hall
Pull the blue lever in the puzzle room in order to go through the blue door.
Ebisugaoka
Lying on a rock at the foot of some trees on the right side of the path while traveling in the direction of the refuge.
Main Hall – 1st Floor
Requires Mask of the Fox Clan to access a secret room located three rooms to the west of the saving point. Look for bloodstained walls as a marker.

At the wrecked truck, bear left and down the street to find a bench.
Shimizu Residence II
Immediately upon entering this area, in a side room with a small alcove.
Shimizu Residence III
Atop a stack of crates on the northern end of the hallway on the west.

Back outdoors, bear right at the wrecked truck and down the street to find a rusty barrel on the right side of the path.
New Game Plus will have you using the Brooch to access a different set of Ema.
Ebisugaoka
Past the initial save point, head down the stairs and to the right in order to find a box lying on the ground.
Save Path
At the foot of a tree in the newly opened up area, while doing ‘Open the Vault’.
Ebisugaoka
Just past the save point, look diagonally opposite to the right for a lone tree and some small stone structures, and search for the box lying on the ground.
Ebisugaoka
While heading to the mountain behind the middle school, go up two short flights of stairs, but then bear left instead of up the next flight. Go all the way to the back left of the building, and around to the next house further left. Cross the short footbridge to find a stool near the door.
Hall
Down the west hallway, squeeze through the narrow gap on the left and then open the door on the right.
Ebisugaoka
On the way to Shu’s house, keep ascending stairs until you arrive at the northern end of this area. Go around to the left of this open-air outdoor structure to find a box lying on the ground.
Main Hall – 1st Floor
While chasing after Fox Mask, head up two flights of stairs and around the wrecked floorboards, and follow this path all the way back out into the open. Cross both sets of footbridges on the left, then proceed uphill to the right and into the building. Search the darkened corner by the cabinets to the right of the door
Ebisugaoka
Back outside yet again, look for a house with a large, fenced-in front yard on the right of the path heading north. Find the box lying on the ground.
Shimizu Residence I
While looking for Shu and Rinzo, head down the main hallway to the left of the saving point. Turn right into the first door, and keep going through the next door. Find the box stacked upon more boxes and a chest on the left side of the room.
Treasure Hall
In the large room with statues and multiple doors, head for the nearest door on the right upon entry. Check the table in the back right corner of this room.
Your third playthrough in New Game Plus 2 will net you the final Ema.
Ebisugaoka
While returning to the Shimizu residence, keep ascending stairs until you arrive at the northern end of this area, and then turn right instead of entering the gateway. The last Ema is lying in plain sight on a rock right by the statue in this clearing.
Just 18 Ema are needed to earn the trophy/achievement “Close To The Sun”.
