
Released in 2019, Shenmue 3 is about to make its grand return with an enhanced version for current-generation consoles. Shenmue 3 Enhanced is expected to launch on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Switch 2 physical edition will be fully stored on the game card but will be more expensive than the others. Pre-orders are open on publisher ININ Games’ store. The standard edition is priced at €39.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X or €54.99 on Switch 2.
The Special Edition is priced at €59.99 on Sony and Microsoft consoles as well as on PC (via a code). It is €74.99 on Nintendo. This edition includes the game, an exclusive artbook, a documentary by Yu Suzuki (the creator of Shenmue), and a special box set.
As for the €199.99 collector’s edition across all platforms, it includes a highly detailed Ryo figurine, a shikishi, kung fu cards, a poster, stickers, a keychain, and a wooden scroll of moves.
Shenmue 3 Enhanced will feature improved graphics and performance, with up to 4K resolution, DLSS/FSR support, increased NPC density, better interactions, and redesigned menus. A classic camera mode inspired by Shenmue I and II, as well as new gameplay options, are also included.
