After Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2, Switch 2 will welcome Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties on February 12. RGG Studio has already done a lot of work for the Nintendo platform and may not stop there.
In a recorded interview with the Japanese manufacturer, Masayoshi Yokoyama, CEO of RGG Studio, mentioned the release of other titles in the series. This will likely depend on the commercial success of the other ports and player demand.
“Yakuza 0, 1, 2, and 3 are now out. And on Switch 2, with Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, we’ve released everything we’re capable of doing at the moment.
From here on out, that list could grow if we feel there’s a demand for it.”
Yokoyama also praised the console’s portable aspect, adding that it “will fulfill the dreams of people who were previously frustrated that they couldn’t play wherever they wanted.”
