Resident Evil Requiem prequel short film stars Longlegs’ Maika Monroe

Regardless of how Weapons director Zach Cregger‘s upcoming Resident Evil film turns out, 2026 has already provided us with a pretty damn good live-action take on the franchise, thanks to a prequel short film that sets up Resident Evil Requiem. In addition to being a solid adaptation of the events surrounding Requiem, it also boasts some star power: It Follows and Longlegs star Maika Monroe plays the lead in Capcom’s new short.
