Resident Evil fans lose it after an iconic villain returns in a new Requiem trailer.
The release of Capcomโs Resident Evil Requiem is just a few weeks away, and the hype for the next entry in the ever-popular survival horror series is reaching fever pitch. Well, at least itโs not a fever inflicted by the T-Virus, am I right?
Resident Evil Requiem will see the return of the series legend, Leon S. Kennedy, returning to the place where it all started for him, 30 years ago in Resident Evil 2, as a rookie cop in Raccoon City. However, following the T-Virus outbreak caused by Umbrella, the city has been a nuclear ruin for decades after the US government dropped a bomb on it
Leon Is Not Alone in Resident Evil Requiem
Joining Leon is a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft from the criminally underappreciated co-op multiplayer spin-off, Resident Evil Outbreak. Like, seriously, Capcom, give us a remake or remaster already, please!
In terms of other returning characters, we only know of Leon so far. Yet, following the release of an epic live-action trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, fans are hyped after it included an awesome easter egg.
As brought to my attention by Residence of Evil on Facebook, and then by fellow fans on Reddit, Nemesis aka, aka T-103, can briefly be seen and heard in the trailer in question.

Will Nemesis Be in Resident Evil Requiem?
Resident Evil 3, in both the original 1999 release and the 2020 remake, takes place over the same timeline as Resident Evil 2 and takes place in Raccoon City. However, the protagonist of both games, Jill Valentine, blew Nemesis into tiny bits.
Sure, Capcom could explain in the story of Resident Evil Requiem that Nemesis has healing abilities that we never knew of, or more logically, Umbrella kept spare clones. But I just can’t see it. I would love to be wrong on that opinion, but you never know.
Did You Spot Nemesis in the Trailer?
At around one minute and 35 seconds into the trailer, you can just about see a silhouette behind an RPD car, and you can hear Nemesis say the infamous โS.T.A.R.Sโ.
I have to say, this easter egg is really cool. Now, Capcom, if you could kindly remake Resident Evil 3 again, and make Nemesis a stalker enemy, like he should have been in 2020, Iโd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
