Red Dead Redemption 2 players can claim free DLC, but you only have 48 hours to make it yours, so act now to avoid missing out.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is without question one of the best video games of all time, as reflected by its mighty 97 score on the aggregate website, Metacritic.
Despite the number in its title, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel to the legendary game that was originally released in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, starring John Marston.
In Rockstar Gamesâ Red Dead Redemption 2, we play as Arthur Morgan, a pivotal member of the Dutch van der Linde gang, who we were first introduced to in 2010, albeit Arthur was not present in that game.
âArthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are outlaws on the run. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive,â reads the synopsis of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Despite Rockstar Games not supporting Red Dead Redemption 2âs online offering to the same extent as GTA Online, thereâs still plenty of fun to be had with its Wild West shenanigans.
That being said, recently, Red Dead Online did get an awesome online event which could be considered as somewhat of a spiritual successor to Undead Nightmare, a beloved expansion for the 2010 game.
Its most recent free event, âRed Dead Online Collector Bonusesâ is now live, which rewards players with bonus XP, currency and even DLC for simply playing the game.

Some of that free content comes via its âWeekly and Monthly Rewardsâ during the event.
For example, players who reach an online rank of 25 will be gifted with the free âNosalida Shirtâ and âNeckerchiefâ. Whatâs more, if you complete all the âDaily Challengesâ, you will also be gifted with the âFormal Dance Emoteâ.
However, while the two items mentioned above are available for the duration of the latest Red Dead Online event, which ends on 6 October 2025, some items are only available for an even shorter period of time.
Namely, the âBlue and Orange Benbow Jacketâ, which is only available between 16 and 22 September for completing two âCollector Daily Challengesâ in a row. So, if youâre yet to get this free DLC item, act now before itâs too late.
Red Dead Online is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
