PUBG Blindspot is not going to hit its two month anniversary, as ARC Team and PUBG Corporation announced that the top down shooter will be shut down on March 30th. The game launched into Early Access on February 5th, bringing a different experience for the PUBG franchise in the form of a top down tactical shooter. The development team has come to the conclusion that it cannot sustainably support continued development of PUBG Blindspot going forward.
In a statement posted on Steam ARC Team wrote, โTo everyone who has been part of the PUBG: BLINDSPOT journey, thank you sincerely for your support. Since our last update, the team has been exploring multiple ways to improve the experience and move the game forward. However, after careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that we are no longer able to sustainably provide the level of experience we set out to deliver through Early Access. We place player experience at the center of every decision we make, and it is based on that principle that we have made this decision. As a result, PUBG: BLINDSPOTโs Early Access service will come to an end on Monday, March 30.
We understand this may not be the outcome many of you were hoping for.PUBG: BLINDSPOT was a bold attempt to explore new possibilities within the top-down tactical shooter space. Throughout this journey, the feedback and support from our players have meant a great deal to the team, and will continue to inform our future development efforts. To everyone who believed in the game and supported its direction, we are truly grateful. The ARC Team will take some time to regroup, and we hope to return with new experiences in the future. It has been a privilege to build this game alongside our community. Thank you again.โ
The exact times the servers will be switched off on Monday 30th March are 18:00 KST / JPT, 20:00 AEDT, 11:00 CET, 09:00 UTC, 05:00 EDT, 02:00 PT. After that PUBG Blindspot will no longer be playable.
