Sony quietly rolled out a PS5 feature update, which adds a brand-new snowy animated theme ahead of the holiday. This is the second Welcome Hub background that the company has dropped this month, and although it’s not as good as the fireplace theme, it’s pretty nifty.

The theme, which is available now in most regions, can be accessed by going over to the Welcome Hub > Backgrounds > From PlayStation.
Expect to see snowcapped trees with PlayStation icons planted in the snow on the ground.
Unlike the fireplace theme, this one doesn’t include any audio, but it is animated.
If you can’t see the new theme yet and are itching to plaster it to your Welcome Hub, then try manually updating your PS5 system features via the settings menu. Hit the Settings cog on the top right of your PS5 home screen (next to profile thumbnail), then navigate down to System. From the drop down menu on the right, select System Feature Updates, and then wait for the process to finish.
That said, keep in mind that this is a backend update that’ll automatically be applied, so if you wait a little, it’ll appear for you eventually.
