While we were expecting Capcom to release the most impressive PS5 Pro enhanced game thus far, it looks like the developer has surpassed expectations. Resident Evil Requiem has won universal praise on all platforms, but tech experts say that it truly shines on the PS5 Pro.

Digital Foundry has declared PS5 Pro the best platform to play Capcom’s latest hit, with a 60 frames-per-second mode that implements ray tracing so well that it almost feels like playing in native 4K with all the bells and whistles.
There is also a 120 fps mode, but it disables ray tracing. And while playing at 120 fps still offers solid performance, players get the best results playing at 60 fps with ray tracing and the upscaler enabled.
Digital Foundry also showered Resident Evil Requiem’s character models and realism with praise.
“PS5 Pro is clearly in a class of its own here,” tech expert John Linneman wrote. “It’s one of the most convincing upgrades we’ve seen for the system.”
There is some speculation that Resident Evil Requiem may already be utilizing Sony’s PSSR 2.0 upgrade. However, we don’t think the company would stealth-drop such a significant system update.
