PS1 games on PS5

A rating board may have outed an unannounced PS5 release of one of the best and most popular PS1 games. Ubisoft‘s 1995 platformer Rayman is returning in the form of Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition, if a listing by the Australian Classification is to be believed.

Ubisoft’s Rayman is one of the best-selling PS1 games, headed to PS5 soon

As spotted by Gematsu, the rating is for a PS5 and Nintendo Switch release only. There’s no mention of any other platform, but we’d have to wait for an official announcement to be sure that’s the case.

Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition is apparently developed by Atari, and will be distributed by U&I Entertainment, which has previously handled physical releases of Ubisoft games.

According to known insider Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is currently working on two Rayman projects, one of which is the leaked 30th Anniversary Edition. Henderson claims its release date is “very, very soon.”

As for the other project, it’s reportedly a Rayman Legends remake.

We’ll update our readers when we have more information. Ubisoft could do with some positive news following its recent business troubles, which include but aren’t limited to the cancellation of the highly-anticipated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
