Anyone looking for a PlayStation 5 can find the console at a very cheap price in the aftermath of Christmas, with the lowest being £150 off.Â
Sony dropped the price of the PlayStation 5 significantly for Black Friday, but those discounts have largely remained over the Christmas season.Â
Ahead of December 25, certain retailers were selling the digital edition version of the console (without the disc drive) at £299. The standard edition, meanwhile, was around £389, and some bundles even threw in EA Sports FC 26 for free.Â
Following Christmas Day, Sony’s console has been knocked down even further. The best options are at Very and EE.co.uk, which are selling the PlayStation 5 digital edition for £280. That’s £150 off the usual £429.99 price, following the price hike earlier this year.Â
If you’re after the EA Sports FC 26 bundle, EE has the best deal, selling the console with the football sim at £285. Other retailers, meanwhile, are selling the same digital edition console in the region of £289, so it’s still cheaper than it was before Christmas.Â
EE has the best deal when it comes to the standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, priced at £370. Like the digital edition bundle, this offer expires in the new year, so you don’t have long to capitalise on it (although some other deals might crop up in the January sales).Â
You can check out all these deals and more below.
PS5 Digital Edition console
This doesn’t come with a disc drive and so means you can only play digitally downloaded games on it. That’s all most people do nowadays anyway, so it’s not much of a hardship, and if you change your mind you can always buy a detachable drive later.

PS5 Standard Edition console
The default version of the console is basically the same thing but with a disc drive. It’s the full fat version of the console but if you’re never going to play any discs with it – whether games or movies – you don’t really need it.

PS5 Pro console
This is the pumped up version of the other two models that is more powerful and able to run games at higher frame rates and resolutions. Its processor is around 45% faster, which also makes it better at things like ray-tracing. The difference is still relatively mild though and the Pro is aimed squarely at hardcore gamers that know what they’re in for.
