PS Store Users Fall for New Scam and Lose Their Money

PS Store game

Just as we were warning PS Store users of a potential new scam, another shovelware game has already managed to con players out of their money. In what has now become a feature of Sony’s storefront, a scammer managed to publish a listing that looks like popular PC game No, I’m Not a Human, and unsuspecting folks have fallen for it.

Another day, another PS Store game mimicking a popular title

No, I’m Not a Human is a popular first-person horror game that’s been trending on Steam with glowing reviews. The game has been announced for the PS5, but there’s no release date yet.

As a result of No, I’m Not a Human’s PS5 announcement, the clone listing on PS Store managed to grab attention, and folks like this poor soul ended up wishlisting the fake copy. They unfortunately made a purchase thinking the game had become available on the PS5, only to realize that they had lost their money.

Within the past few hours, we’ve spotted quite a few Reddit threads from players who either fell for the scam or almost did. Upon checking the PS Store listing, we noticed that this nonsense was dropped on the PS5 and PS4 today.

We encourage our readers to make maximum use of the new refund feature via the PS Store or PS App. However, don’t always expect results in your favor.
